Hensel And Gretel, A Beautiful Story

Hensel and Gretel, a beautiful story

Animals give us many lessons every day. They speak to us of love, fidelity and companionship without expressing themselves in words. In this article, we tell about the beautiful story of Hensel and Gretel, two inseparable brothers.

Hensel and Gretel, brothers who didn’t separate for a minute

Dogs are able to build very strong bonds among themselves and with people, despite the abuse they are subjected to or the injustices they suffer. Loyalty to dogs is paramount and they demonstrate it daily.

There are many examples of pet love going viral. Cases of dogs that are waiting for their deceased owners, cats that save their owners from death in fires, animals that cry in pain due to the loss of their life partner, etc.

In this beautiful story, the protagonists are two beautiful dogs, Hensel and Gretel, who for nothing in the world were separated. They lived on the streets of Ohio City, in the United States, until they were rescued by an organization dedicated to protecting the rights of animals, called Mahoning County Dog Warden’s Office & Adoption Center .

The head of the shelter, Rick Tunison, saw that the puppies were having a bad time and that they urgently needed food and shelter. So he didn’t hesitate to take them to his car (offering them food to gain confidence in him). First, the lighter-colored male dog approached, so that he could enjoy his snack.

But her sister, with a darker coat, still resisted accepting this man’s help. However, when she realized that there was a risk of being separated from her family, she automatically got into the car and snuggled close to the male, although she rejected the food.

When they arrived at the shelter, they were placed in separate kennels. But they kept howling and barking, even trying to break the cage door. Despite the limited space, they were happy to share the “house”, as long as they stayed together.

The adoption of the protagonists of this beautiful story

Due to the great affinity between the two dogs, the shelter staff decided to offer them for adoption together, a somewhat difficult task, since many families would only accept one animal. However, a couple arrived willing to take them home. Even though they didn’t buy them separate beds, they continued to share the same pillow (where they barely fit).

The owner, Rachel Harris, changed their name to Hank and Gigi, and now their lives are full of happiness, they even created an Instagram account where pictures of their adventures are displayed (always together, of course). The siblings are always keeping an eye on each other, but they also share their love with their human “mother”.

A thrilling story of two inseparable dogs

Like Hensel and Gretel, there are other examples that demonstrate the loyalty of animals. In this case, the protagonists are Glenn (a 9-year-old jack russel) and Buzz (a 10-year-old Staffordshire) who met on the streets of Hartlepool, England, and have not been apart since.

Also, they help each other, as Glenn is blind and Buzz has become their guide dog. Both live in a shelter called Stray Aid, waiting for a family to adopt them together. Although this is something difficult to happen, those responsible for the institution do not sit back.

The only possibility of finding a home for them to spend their last years of life is if someone adopts them together. It needs to be a quiet house with elderly people and that they are accepted as they are.

Tanner and Blair, inseparable friends

Finally, another story of unconditional love between the puppies that will thrill you. Tanner is a golden retriever, was born blind and suffers from epilepsy. At just two years old, he had already passed through several homes, but without having been lucky enough to remain in them, because of his condition. When he arrived at the Woodland West of Oklahoma Animal Hospital , veterinarians said there was no hope for his case and even thought about euthanizing him.

However, everything changed when another golden retriever named Blair showed up at the clinic. This little dog had lived on the streets and had bullet wounds that could be treated. As soon as they saw each other, it was like “love at first sight”, and the two became inseparable partners. Blair took the leash from her blind canine friend and took him for a tour of the hospital, only no one had trained him before.

The changes in the lives of the two dogs were really evident. On the one hand, Tanner stopped having seizures, and on the other, Blair stopped exhibiting such skittish behavior. Shortly thereafter, the brother-friends were adopted by a family and introduced to their new companion, a dog named Louie.
