Any Situation Is Better With A Dog Or A Cat

Any situation is better with a dog or a cat

Do you know the dogcat effect? It’s possible not. But that’s going to change today as we’re going to talk about it. Throughout our lives we always go through moments that make us tense and make us nervous: having to work on a Monday morning, taking a difficult test at school or university, trying to do with that our children obey us, have a job interview, in short, several different situations that can make us mad.

The dogcat effect demonstrates that pets help to make us feel better in difficult situations, as they transmit all their unconditional love and affection.

We often hear things like “These are times we have to go through and feeling nervous is inevitable.” Although the purpose of this sentence is to make us feel better, it fails to do that and only makes us resign, because in reality the nerves in these situations and in many others that we could not list here are avoidable. Thus, the effectiveness of the dogcat effect was proven.

Who performed the dogcat experiment?

Affinity is one of the most renowned pet food companies in the world. It has been on the market for over 50 years, not only providing our animals with high quality nutrient-packed food, but also loving them. This love can be seen in the care with which they do their work and in the details that make them stand out among companies in the same industry.

Not content with that, Affinity created a non-profit foundation that focuses primarily on helping to strengthen the bond between people and their pets.

This is done with a single goal: to show the world that an animal-loving society is a better society.

One of Affinity’s mottos is “Any situation is better with a dog or a cat”. It was from the desire to demonstrate this reality that the experiment “the dog-cat effect” emerged.

What does the dogcat effect consist of?

As we talked about before, Affinity wanted to demonstrate that their theory that a society with animals is a better society was right, and so they decided to prove that any kind of situation, however tense, will turn into something much better with a dog or a cat.

For you and me, who love animals, we know that our life without them would be much sadder, lonely and boring. But what about when you feel stressed or tense? Have you ever experienced seeking your pet’s love and seeing how you feel after that? Or on the contrary, do you prefer to be alone and leave him a little aside? If you do, you’ll like to know more about this experiment. Be sure to read this article!

dogcat experiment 2014

In the year 2014, the Affinity company went to different offices where there were several people working. They chose the most tense, frustrating, and boring time of the week: Monday morning. The workers’ faces and expressions were a picture full of sadness and dark tones.

Suddenly, a little furry thing started looking around the corner as it started running around the office! The workers’ faces lit up. It was a puppy! And then a kitten also appeared!

Everyone wanted to pet them and couldn’t stop smiling. But the best part was still missing. What would happen if instead of a cat and a dog we had several? We won’t count since they say a picture is worth a thousand words. We will share the video below.

Can anyone deny that Monday morning in this office was one of the best working days for these employees? Affinity’s goal had been accomplished. No wonder employees asked the company to join the PetFriendly program.

Dog-cat effect experiment in 2015

Affinity could not fail to brighten the lives and hearts of others with this ingenious experiment also in 2015. This time, the chosen ones were the children. Yes, because they also laugh and cry like us, feel anxiety and nervousness and get stressed like all human beings. Is there any situation more stressful for a child than finals week at school?

On this day they would have the final exam before Christmas. The children were nervous and we could see it in their faces. The professor passed by handing out proof sheets like a cartoon villain. Everyone with their proof sheet in their hands looked at the clock: three, two, one and…cat-dog effect!

The classroom began to fill with affectionate little kittens and puppies that took the prettiest smiles from the children and made them forget that they had an important test ahead of them. Their looks, their expressions and the way they played with the animals were all we needed to know.

They had to take the test later, but as they sat back down at their tables after the dogcat effect, their attitude was totally different and much lighter. Watch this video and judge for yourself.

Can you think of a better way to cheer up someone who is in need of a smile? Affinity has demonstrated with the dogcat effect that it not only loves animals, but also people. The company showed the world that loving animals makes us happier, and most importantly, it makes us better people.
