A Missing Woman Is Found By A Doberman

Of all the animals that exist in the animal kingdom, the dog is one of the most supportive there is, thanks to its incredible way of helping all living beings who find themselves in a situation of danger, in which they cannot do anything to get out of it. , either because they are injured or because they do not know where they are.

In life there are stories of heroes who earn the respect and admiration of the whole world thanks to their courage and persistence. Not just for saving someone’s life, but for demonstrating that good deeds can be done not as something extraordinary and abnormal, but as a gesture that need not be rewarded with anything but love and recognition. Today we will tell the story of a dog who found a missing woman.

There is no one better to fulfill this role of heroic figure than a dog, besides protecting like few others who offer affection, it is normal to see a dog guide people with visual impairments, in police security work or in rescue missions.

This is what happened in a quiet neighborhood in Galicia, when a four-legged companion found and rescued an elderly woman who had disappeared for many hours.

Four-legged solution

The event took place in the city of Artes, after a sweet octogenarian named Pilar mysteriously disappeared from the elderly home in which she lived, after taking a moment to take a walk in the afternoon.

As this was an activity that the lady was used to doing on a daily basis, no one seemed to be surprised by her absence from the nursing home, until the residents began to realize that it was getting very late and she didn’t arrive. It was at this point that they went to the police to find her.

After several hours of unsuccessful search, security agency officials, along with neighbors and nursing home staff, decided to go from house to house to ask if anyone had seen Pilar. What no one expected is that the solution would be found in a furry four-legged friend.

Arnold, a Doberman with no experience in looking for people

After not finding an enlightening answer from any of the neighbors who had been asked about the lady, a young man named Marco proposed using his dog Arnold to find her.

This handsome Doberman had been well trained by his owner to participate in sporting competitions, however, the task Marco would command him was to sniff out Pilar’s nightgown to search for her through her scent. It was a mission that could not ensure successful results, as the dog had never performed this type of task.

After sniffing the object of the octogenarian lady, Arnold decided to guide its owner to a road. The young man chose not to take this path because he considered it dangerous, so he chose to take his dog to a nearby hill and follow him from there.

As Marco commented, it was very difficult to run after his Doberman, as he got into terrain full of rocks and with very high woods. Likewise, he assured that for a moment he thought that his furry friend could not be tracking the woman, because it seemed impossible that she could reach such a remote and inaccessible place.

However, all the doubts that the young man had quickly dissipated when he heard the screams of a frightened person. After checking, he found Arnold facing an elderly woman who was sitting under a tree: it  was Pilar, the missing woman.

After verifying that the octogenarian had not suffered any kind of accident and that she was in good condition, Marco called the police to go to the scene and take the lady to a hospital.

Later, they reported that Pilar had decided to get lost, as she was in a strong depressive state due to different personal problems.

However, thanks to Arnold, she was able to be rescued and made great strides in overcoming her depressed emotional state.

Likewise, the neighbors of this beautiful neighborhood in Galicia did not hesitate to praise the work of the Dobermann, whom they recognized as a hero worthy of praise and respect.
