Don’t Love My Owner? So Get Away From Me

Don't love my owner? so get away from me

Dogs are able to sense when someone doesn’t love their owner or when they want to harm them. Sometimes we play with this to see our little friend’s reaction, then we do a theater in which a family member pretends to harm us. Most likely, the dog barks and gets angry. He doesn’t like those who don’t love their owner.

This reaction from dogs is not surprising, since, innately, they are loyal to their owner. Furthermore, they are capable of coming to love us with a love greater than what we can feel for them. So, no matter who it is, if someone doesn’t like us, they will also have to stay away from our dog.

This is not just a cliché, it is a fact that has been scientifically proven and today we are going to talk about this study.

The study that proved that your dog doesn’t love someone who doesn’t love you or doesn’t love you

This study was carried out by Kyoto University and 54 dogs were used in three different settings. In the study, the owner tries to open a container that is around two strangers.

In the first phase, one of the strangers prevents the owner from opening the container while the other individual remains silent.

In the second phase, the owner asks for help to open the container and one of the individuals helps him, while the other is a simple observer.

In the last phase, the three people in the scenario do not interact with each other.

After seeing the reenactments, the second and third person in the scene were supposed to offer food to the dogs to gain their trust. Dogs rejected food from those who had treated their owners poorly, regardless of whether it was their favorite. They only accepted the third person.

Until then it was believed that empathy was inherent only in humans. But this study and a few others have shown that it also exists in dogs.

So be careful how you treat dog owners. It is likely that karma will kick in and the dog will treat you exactly as you treated his owner.

How to know if your dog loves you and likes someone who loves you

In fact, we cannot fool ourselves, we like to be defended and this makes us feel loved. Dogs are amazing at showing feelings, no matter what they have to do to show them.

However, if there are more family members, sometimes questions could arise, such as which family member the dog loves the most. But how can we know this? We’ll give you some tips for you to find out. If you notice that he loves you more than the others, keep it a secret so the rest of the family doesn’t feel bad.

  • What does your dog do after eating. Although you may not believe it, what your dog does after eating can reveal his feelings for you. If he goes after you instead of playing with the ball, it will not only be a show of gratitude, but also love.
  • Where your dog sleeps. Not everyone likes the dog to sleep in the bedroom, much less in the same bed as them. But when your dog insists on doing it, it’s because he’s attached to you and that’s a way to show it.
  • Your reaction when you leave. Your dog’s anxiety is nothing more than a sign of separation anxiety. To demonstrate that he loves you and trusts you, he will be at ease.
  • How much do you love your dog. Dogs can sense how far your feelings for him go, so your love is directly proportional to what you give him.
